I went on an LDS mission to the Massachusetts Boston Mission. I went to BYU soon after I came home. I met my wife, Jacklyn, a couple of years into my schooling and we’ve been married for 22 year’s. She likes to claim that I cornered her while I was in the bishopric. We settled in Pleasant Grove and have been here ever since. Jacklyn teaches at Mountain Ridge Jr. High and has probably taught some of your children if you live in Highland or Alpine. We have three children: Michael 21 (aspiring to be a recording engineer), Alyssa 19 (going to Utah State University) and Katie 15 (entering 10th grade).
I received a Bachelor’s degree from BYU, but my calling was toward firefighting and EMS. To that end, I am a fire captain/paramedic for Pleasant Grove/Lindon. I received another degree in fire science since my employment. I am now going on 23 year’s in this pursuit.
