Classmates - Lori Peterson Johnson

After graduation I attended BYU where I graduated in Medical Dietetics in 1980. I met my husband, Steve Johnson, while attending BYU. He happened to be a neighbor of my grandmother who lived in Orem. We dated 3 years and then married in the Salt Lake Temple in June 1979. Steve was attending medical school at the University of Utah at the time of our marriage. After medical school, we moved to Tempe, AZ for 4 years where he completed his OB/GYN residency. He has been practicing at Tanner Clinic in Layton for the past 20 years.

We have 6 children, and yes, he delivered them all! I have 4 boys and 2 girls. My oldest, Taylor (25) is married and works in Salt Lake. Clint (21) just returned from a mission in Busan, Korea and is attending BYU. Bryant (19) is now serving in the Korea Seoul Mission. Corinne (17) will be a senior at Davis. McKay (14) and Taryn (13) both attend Kaysville Jr. High.

Since we started our family, I have been very fortunate to be able to stay home and raise my children. I like to spend time with my family, hike in the mountains above Fruit Heights with my dog, work in the yard, go to the gym, and travel. I have been able to see many parts of the world. Israel, Egypt, Croatia, So. America, Turkey, Korea, and most of Western Europe are just a few of the places I've been. For the past two years, our family has traveled to Kenya, Africa with a non-profit organization called Reach the Children. There we serve children in the slums of Nairobi by conducting a medical clinic. This has been a growing experience for our family, and we realize how blessed we are to live in Kaysville, Utah USA.
