I served a mission from 77-79 to Montreal, Quebec and then attended the University of Utah where I graduated in 1983 with a BS in Political Science and Economics. I attended Harvard Business School where I graduated in 1985 with my MBA.
I returned to Salt Lake City and have managed our family investment company and the Simmons Media Group since 1985. We currently have 28 radio stations and our 600 billboards in 12 states, and own Morris Murdock Travel.
My wife Melinda and I have 5 children including 4 daughters: Amanda (16), Samantha (13), Lauren (4), and Hallie (2), and our son Jack who died six years ago. We live in Salt Lake City and love to ski, golf, play tennis and travel.
