After graduating from Davis, Bob went to BYU for a year, then headed to
West Australia on a mission. After the 'walk-about’ in Australia Bob
headed back to BYU to study electrical engineering (while playing French Horn
in various BYU ensembles). While attending BYU, Bob met and married Sherry
Elliott. Sherry’s family has roots in Farmington, Utah. Sherry’s father
was a lieutenant colonel in the Marine Corps so Sherry had many opportunities
to travel and experience varied cultures of the world. She speaks fluent
Spanish and throws a mean javelin (Bob catches). After completing his
bachelor’s degree, Bob began working for Hewlett-Packard in Fort Collins,
Colorado as an engineer developing mass storage products. In 1986 Bob was
sponsored by HP to go back to school and receive a Master’s degree in EE from
Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Bob and Sherry have 4 children in their
family. Justin is the oldest and is now serving a mission in South Africa.
Jeremy just turned 16 and is threatening to date. Allie is 14 and heavily
involved in cheerleading, music, and sports. Mandy is 9 and is full of life
in all aspects. In 1988, Bob and his family moved to Eagle, Idaho where Bob
continues to work for Hewlett-Packard developing LaserJet printers. Bob is
actively engaged in his church, recently completing his service as a Bishop
of the Eagle 3rd ward. He likes to head to the mountains to hike, camp, fish,
and enjoy the serenity of high mountain lakes. His family is actively
involved in all kinds of sports, skiing, motorcycling, and snowmobiling.
